What is WIC?

WIC, which stands for Women, Infants and Children, is a federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Program administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. University Health (UH) WIC is the largest WIC provider in Missouri.

WIC is for all types of families of a child under five:

  • Married – Working or not working

  • Single Parent – Working or not working

  • Father
  • Mother

  • Grandparent

  • Foster Parent

  • Other Guardian

You can also apply if you are pregnant or had a pregnancy loss within the last 6 months.
